Terms and Conditions of Sale
Last updated: 21 October 2026
1. Purpose and scope
These Terms and Conditions govern all orders placed on www.swiss-iq-association.org and in the associated app (together, the "Service"). The Service is provided by PARAZZO AG, Marktgasse 5, 4051 Basel, Switzerland, UID CHE-302.003.927 ("we", "us"), under the trading name Swiss IQ Association.
Every order requires your prior and express acceptance of these Terms, given by ticking a box when you place your order. The version that applies is the one in force on the date of your order.
2. Eligibility
The Service is available only to individuals aged 18 or over with full legal capacity. By placing an order, the customer confirms that they meet these conditions. We may ask for proof of age, in particular during the identity check that takes place before exams.
Each account is personal and may not be shared. The customer must keep their login details confidential and tell us without delay about any unauthorised use.
3. Description of the services
3.1 IQ test and result certificate. The customer takes a 30-question online IQ test and receives a certificate confirming their result. Price: £19.90 including VAT, one-off payment.
3.2 72-hour trial period. The payment for the test includes full access to the educational programme for 72 hours from the time of payment.
3.3 Monthly subscription. At the end of the trial period, unless cancelled before it ends, access continues as a subscription at a price of £49.90 including VAT per month. The subscription renews automatically each month and can be cancelled at any time (clause 6).
The subscription gives access to:
- the practice content for the 10 subjects of the educational programme;
- registration for the monthly exams in each of the 10 subjects, with a diploma issued for each exam passed;
- once all 10 diplomas have been obtained, the final exam, which leads to the award of the intelligence certificate if passed.
3.4 Resitting an exam. An exam that is not taken or not passed, for any reason (absence, lateness, conditions not met, fail, cancellation for cheating), may be resat at a later session for £4.99 including VAT per exam (clause 5.3). This fee is not charged if the exam could not take place because of a technical failure on our side or on the side of our service providers.
3.5 Nature of the diplomas and certificates. The diplomas and certificates are private certificates issued by PARAZZO AG. They are not qualifications recognised by any public authority or educational institution. The IQ test result is an indicative estimate and does not replace an assessment by a qualified professional.
4. Ordering and formation of the contract
Before confirming the order, the customer sees a summary clearly showing: the price of the test (£19.90), the length of the trial (72 hours), the price of the subscription that follows (£49.90/month), the date of the first subscription payment and how to cancel.
The contract is formed when the customer clicks the order button labelled "Order with obligation to pay" or an equivalent wording. We confirm the order by email, with these Terms attached or linked.
5. Prices and payment
5.1 Prices. Prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and include all taxes, including VAT at the applicable rate. Any currency conversion or bank charges are borne by the customer.
5.2 Payment methods. Payment is made by debit or credit card through our payment provider Stripe. We do not have access to full card details.
5.3 Payment authorisation. By placing an order, the customer expressly authorises PARAZZO AG to charge the stored card:
- £19.90 when the order is placed;
- £49.90 at the end of the trial period, then every month on the renewal date, for as long as the subscription has not been cancelled;
- £4.99 each time the customer registers to resit an exam.
The customer receives a receipt by email after every payment. A reminder email is sent no later than 24 hours before the end of the trial period. The customer may withdraw this authorisation at any time by cancelling the subscription or removing the card from their account.
5.4 Failed payments. If a payment fails, we may suspend access to the Service until the amount is paid, after informing the customer by email.
5.5 Price changes. We may change the subscription price for the future. The customer will be informed by email at least 30 days in advance and may cancel free of charge before the new price takes effect.
6. Duration and cancellation of the subscription
The subscription runs for one month and renews automatically. The customer can cancel it at any time, without giving a reason and free of charge, with one click in the "My account" section or by email to info@parazzo.ch. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current monthly period, and access remains open until then. Cancelling during the trial period prevents any subscription payment from being taken.
Full details of cancellation, the statutory cancellation right and refunds are set out in the Cancellation and Refund Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.
7. Statutory right to cancel
Customers who are consumers resident in the United Kingdom, the European Union or the European Economic Area have a 14-day right to cancel, as set out in the Cancellation and Refund Policy.
8. How exams are conducted
8.1 Schedule. Exams take place on the dates and at the times published on the Exams page. Start times are strictly enforced.
8.2 Equipment. The customer needs a computer with a webcam, microphone and stable internet connection, and must install the specified proctoring software.
8.3 Identification. The customer must log in at least 20 minutes before the exam starts and show a valid official photo ID. Identity verification is carried out by our provider Didit; exam proctoring by our provider SMOWL.
8.4 Exam conditions. The customer takes the exam alone, without outside help, in a quiet room, with their face, arms and hands visible. Phones, calculators, notes and any other device or document are prohibited unless otherwise stated.
8.5 Cheating and human review. Any attempt to cheat leads to the cancellation of the exam. Where the software flags an irregularity, the decision to cancel is only taken after a member of our team has reviewed the flag. The customer is informed of the decision and the reasons for it, and may challenge it by email within 14 days.
9. Customer obligations
The customer agrees to provide accurate information, to use the Service personally and fairly, and not to copy, record, publish or resell the questions or content. Any serious breach may lead to suspension or closure of the account, after the customer has been informed.
10. Availability of the Service
We do our best to keep the Service available, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. If an interruption on our side prevents an exam from taking place, the customer is registered free of charge for the next session.
11. Liability
Our liability is limited to direct and foreseeable loss, to the extent permitted by law. It is not limited in cases of intent or gross negligence, and nothing in these Terms affects consumers' statutory rights.
12. Intellectual property
The customer receives a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the content for the duration of their access. All rights remain the property of PARAZZO AG.
13. Data protection
Personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may change these Terms. Subscribers will be informed by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect and may cancel free of charge before that date.
15. Customer service and complaints
For any question or complaint: info@parazzo.ch. We reply within 5 working days.
16. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Swiss law, excluding the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The place of jurisdiction is Basel. Consumers keep the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of their country of residence and may bring proceedings in the courts of their home country where the law allows.
